Terms of Service

1. Service Overview

HeyBins provides short-term rental of reusable moving bins delivered and retrieved within Frederick County, Maryland. By placing an order you agree to these terms in full.

2. Rental Period & Pricing

Rental periods begin on the scheduled delivery date and end on the confirmed pickup date. Rates are displayed at checkout. Extending a rental beyond the agreed pickup date incurs a daily overage fee of $5 per bin per day, charged automatically to the card on file.

3. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit is collected at checkout ($25 for orders of 1–10 bins; $50 for 11+ bins). The deposit is released within 5–7 business days after bins are returned in acceptable condition. We reserve the right to apply the deposit toward overages or damage charges before releasing the remainder.

4. Damage Policy

Bins must be returned clean and free of excessive damage. Normal wear is expected. The following are chargeable damage events:

• Broken lid hinges or cracked bin walls — $15 per bin
• Missing or destroyed lid — $10 per bin
• Infestation requiring sanitation — $25 per bin
• Lost or unreturned bin — replacement cost ($45 per bin)

Damage charges are assessed at the time of pickup and billed to the card on file.

5. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of delivery forfeit the delivery fee. Same-day cancellations after dispatch forfeit the full rental payment. Security deposits are always refunded on cancellation.

6. Delivery & Service Area

Service is currently limited to Frederick County, MD. You are responsible for ensuring that bins are accessible at the agreed delivery address. HeyBins is not liable for delays caused by inaccessible addresses, locked gates, or events outside our control (weather, traffic, etc.).

7. Customer Obligations

• Keep bins on your property; do not transfer to third parties.
• Do not use bins to store hazardous, flammable, or illegal materials.
• Ensure bins are accessible for scheduled pickup.
• Report bin damage or issues within 24 hours of delivery.

8. Limitation of Liability

HeyBins' liability is limited to the total rental fees paid for the affected order. HeyBins is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including damage to property stored inside rented bins. You use the service at your own risk.

9. Franchise Operators

HeyBins is a platform used by independently operated franchise licensees. Your local operator fulfills your order. HeyBins, Inc. and its operators are separate legal entities. Contact us at support@heybins.com to identify your operator.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. The current version date appears at the top of this page.
